The Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) is a non-profitable organization, registered by the law for non-government organizations. It was founded in 1991 and is one of the first regional chambers in Bulgaria. Its central office is situated in the town of Haskovo.
The organization aims to:
- assist its members in optimizing the conditions for business activities in the country and abroad
- represent and defend the unified interests of the members in front of the local authorities and through the National Chamber of Commerce /BCCI/ - in front of the central government and foreign institutions and organizations with which the chamber cooperates;
- represent its members in front of local, foreign and international orgabizations, with which the Chamber directly or through BCCI maintains partnership relations;
- support its members to increase their possibilities to obtain access to international markets.
In pursuing these aims the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry has established numerous contacts and has signed agreements for partnerships with the chambers of commerce in the following cities: in Turkey – Edirne, Izmir, Bursa, Denizli, Chanakkale and Selcuk; in Greece: Komotini, Orestiada, Seres and Alexandropoulis; with the Chamber in Shkodra, Albania, also with the Lugansk Chamber in Ukraine and the Chambers of Leicester and East Mercia in Great Britain.
HCCI is a member of the unified system of regional chambers and a member of BCCI, through which it is a registered member in international organizations such as The Union of the Eurochambers, The Association of the Balkan Chambers of Commerce and the World Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
